Vincenzo Montella is of the opinion that his team played extremely well in the friendly against Chelsea

AC Milan manager Vincenzo Montella is of the opinion that his team played extremely well in the friendly against Chelsea and were highly unlucky to lose the game. Milan lost the game 3-1 despite creating a number of chances in the match.

This was seen as a strong performance from the team that were expected to lose quite badly. Even though Chelsea were coming on the back of a very disappointing campaign, the mood is once again positive at the West London outfit following the arrival of Antonio Conte. The Italian knows everything about Milan after having spent his entire managerial career in Italy.

He has also come up against Montella as a manager in recent years. Montella was at Fiorentina before recently taking over at Milan. The former Fiorentina boss has a tough job on his hands to revive the fallen Italian giants. Without much help from owner Silvio Berlusconi, the club is finding it hard to compete at the very top on a regular basis. In fact, they have not been at the top for quite a while and Montella is aware that it will take a lot of investment in order to get the club back to where they belong. He is hoping that Milan are aware of the situation and give him funds to invest in the summer.

AC Milan are reportedly looking to go under foreign ownership

AC Milan are reportedly looking to go under foreign ownership just like their arch rivals Inter Milan.

Former president Massimo Moratti sold Inter a few years ago and the club have now gone completely under the hands of foreign owners. Being on the by a rich benefactor in various parts of the world is a phenomenon that seems to be growing in Italy. England went under such a revolution when Roman Abramovich took control of Chelsea in 2003. However, Milan manager Cristian Brocchi is hoping that owner Silvio Berlusconi does not sell the club, but admits that he cannot do anything about it.

The health of the former Italian Prime Minister has been extremely poor in recent times. He has just been admitted in hospital with a severe heart problem. It is rumoured that Milan, which remains his prized asset, could be sold before the lifetime of Berlusconi. Even though his daughter is part of the club, they have been criticised in his recent years for failing to put in adequate money to ensure that the club remained as one of the top guns in world football. Milan are no longer the top in world football. In fact, they have slipped down the ladder at Italian level as well. Continue reading AC Milan are reportedly looking to go under foreign ownership

Luciano Spalletti has faith on Edin Dzeko

Luciano Spalletti says that he will retain his faith in striker Edin Dzeko despite his poor goal return this season.

The former Manchester City striker has been playing with the Italian outfit since the summer. In his first season in Italian football,Dzeko has come up with nine goals in 34 appearances. Thankfully, Roma have been able to get goals from other sources. The club are third in the table and they are providing realistic competition to the likes of Juventus and Napoli. The title may be a little away from the grasp after falling 10 points behind leaders Juventus, but it will still be seen as a successful campaign if the club qualify for the Champions League.

Dzeko recently came off the bench in the league match against Inter Milan. He had a great opportunity to win the game, but a scuffed shot meant that both teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The Bosnia international has failed to capitalise on a great moment, butDzeko failed to criticise the 30-year-old. He says that he still has plenty of faith in the forward since he will be a useful player to the club going forward. Ivan Perisic scored early for Inter and Roma had to wait for Nainggolan’s late effort in the 84th minute to get back into the game. Continue reading Luciano Spalletti has faith on Edin Dzeko

Roberto De Andrade made the confirmation yesterday that his club is ready

Roberto De Andrade made the confirmation yesterday that his club is ready to let go of Alexandre Pato.

According to De Andrade, there have been no enquiries for Pato so far, but, if somebody shows the interest in the striker and comes with an offer, it would be entertained.

Corinthians is the parent club of Pato, but, the Brazil international has not been playing for them for the last 18 months.

He was placed on loan to Sao Paulo in February last year and he’s been there ever since.

Talking about him, Andrade, who is the chairman of the Corinthians, said, “We are open to the negotiations as far as Pato is concerned. There’s been nothing on the table yet, but, we believe this is a great time for us to put him on sale because his recent form has been top class.”

There was a report published in an English newspaper that the Black Cats as well as West Ham United were planning to bid for Pato.

These two teams are in need of a quality striker at the moment and with not much time left for the transfer window to shut down, they would like to go for Pato sooner rather than later if that’s their plan. Continue reading Roberto De Andrade made the confirmation yesterday that his club is ready

Adriano Galliani feels Club will soon Dominate Italian First Flight

Adriano Galliani, one of the chief decision makers at AC Milan, feels the club would start dominating the Italian first flight again in near future.

The Rossoneri have not played consistent Football for quite a while. The board has tried everything to get the team back on track, but, none of the efforts has paid off.

There were high hopes with Filippo Inzaghi as manager. But, he has not had that much of an affect either.

Milan’s main problem has been their inability to build on a win. They just don’t seem to be able to carry the winning momentum on.

After winning a game or two, they happen to have a couple of poor games and that ruins everything.

The consistency factor is not there is the current bunch of players that the team possesses. Continue reading Adriano Galliani feels Club will soon Dominate Italian First Flight
