MILAN CLOSING IN ON TWO SIGNINGS

 

Italian Serie A giants AC Milan are closing in on the transfer of two players ahead of the January transfer market. This is according to the publication from the stables of II Giornale via Milan News. It was revealed that the Rossoneri are on the verge of adding two defensive minded players to their ranks.

 

AC Milan want to sign a new centre back with the Italian Serie A table toppers struggling for numbers in that department. Matteo Gabbia, Pierre Kalulu, Simon Kjaer and Alessio Romagnoli are the four centre back options at the disposal of manager Stefano Pioli who has led the Rossoneri to the top of the table this season.

The above mentioned report stated that AC Milan want to add a new centre back to the four options at their disposal in addition to a defensive minded midfielder.The first signing set to arrive at AC Milan is Strasbourg player Mohamed Simikan who’s a central defender by trade.

No fee has been mentioned for the player that will provide defensive cover for an AC Milan team looking to build on a fantastic start to the new season when the Italian Serie A resumes in the New Year. AC Milan have a one-point lead over arch rivals Inter Milan as they bid to win the league title for the first time in nine years.

Juventus have won the league title in each of the last eight seasons. The Old Lady has won the last eight league titles on offer.

The second signing set to arrive at the San Siro for the Rossoneri is Riqui Puig who’s ayoung midfielder from Barcelona in the Spanish La Liga. The 21-year-old came through the famed La Masia Academy. He has been frozen out of the Barcelona squad by manager Ronald Koeman who says that the player is not in his plans.
