BRAHIM DIAZ SAYS IBRAHIMOVIC INSPIRES MILAN TO WIN TITLES

AC Milan’s Spanish playmaker Brahim Diaz has declared that the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the club coupled with Milan’s current form can help them achieve the feat of winning the Italian Serie A title after as long as ten years.

Diaz is currently on loan at Milan from Spanish giants Real Madrid after linking up with the team during the close season and has been impressive for his current employers all season. He even played a key role in helping his side secure victory over Torino on Saturday having assisted one goal and winning the penalty which helped them scored the other in a 2-0 victory.

The victory now means that Stefano Pioli’s side are league leaders with a three-point gap after Inter Milan and AS Roma drew their game 2-2. Diaz was talking to Sky Sports when he also spoke about the influence Zlatan has on the Milan players and the team generally, insisting that their position on the table says a lot about their ambitions this season.

Ibrahimovic was previously out injured but marked his return from injury with a cameo appearance in the 2-0 win over Torino, starring for the final five minutes of the match after previously last playing football in November.

The veteran Swedish striker has been remarkable for Milan this season despite being 39 years of age. In the 7 league games he has played so far this season, Zlatan has scored 10 goals and is currently the team’s top scorer.

Diaz continued by saying the talismanic forward is a difference-maker and often shares lots of experience with the whole team. He added that now that Zlatan is back, the team will be looking forward to integrating him back to the XI and learn more from him as he looks to spearhead them to a title win in over a decade.
