This is according to the publication from the stables of II Giornale via Milan News. It was revealed that the Rossoneri are on the verge of adding two defensive minded players to their ranks.

 

AC Milan want to sign a new centre back with the Italian Serie A table toppers struggling for numbers in that department. Matteo Gabbia, Pierre Kalulu, Simon Kjaer and Alessio Romagnoli are the four centre back options at the disposal of manager Stefano Pioli who has led the Rossoneri to the top of the table this season. IBRAHIMOVICH PROVIDES POSITIVE UPDATE ABOUT HIS INJURY

 

There are reports that Zlatan Ibrahimovic may be out for two to three weeks after limping off in the win against Napoli on Sunday. The veteran AC Milan forward has calmed the fraying nerves of Milan fans by stating that his calf injury was nothing serious and he could return in a week.

The Swede recently spoke about the injury, in typical Zlatan fashion, gave the listeners some memorable quotes. The former PSG star said the injury is not a big deal and in two weeks max he should be back to training.

MILAN STAR SET FOR NEW DEAL

 

Italian Serie A leaders AC Milanwant to secure the long-term future of midfielder Franck Kessie at the club by offering the Ivorian international a new contract. His current deal lapses at the end of the 2021/22season.


Kessie has been with the Rossoneri since joining on loan from Atalanta in 2017. The 23-year-old spent two years on loan at the San Siro before his move was made permanent in 2019. According to media outlet Sempre Milan, the seven-time European champions are keen to offer Franck Kessie a new deal to ward off the interest of city rivals Inter Milan.

AC Milan winger Hakan Calhanoglu has said that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has contributed a lot to the club since his arrival and is an egoless person. Pioli clarifies that Zlatan’s anger was not for substitution

 

AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli has said that the Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s wasn’t angry because he was substituted. In the match against Napoli which ended up as a draw for 2–2, Ibra wasn’t happy to be substituted when the opposition was leading the team score for 2–1 with the goal from Dries Mertens. Later they equalised the score with the penalty from Franck Kessie continuing their unbeaten journey. Milan hasn’t lost a match since the resumption and has wins over the top two placed teams in the league Juventus and Lazio.


In the post-match section, Pioli told that Ibra was angry that they were losing the match and the player always expects to have the best performance from himself as well as his fellow teammates. His frustration on losing can be real as he had only one shot at the goal and his six aerial duels ended up in failure. Amid all these the club maintained the winning streak as they kept up their chances to finish among the top six of the club but they are still behind two points of sixth-placed Napoli.

Pioli denies the fallout between him and Zlatan Ibrahimovic

 

AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli has dismissed off the idea of fallout between him and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. In the match against Bologna,he was substituted which he seemed like he was not happy about. The club won the match 5-1 on Saturday and Ibra was annoyed to be replaced within the first hour of the game.


Later in the press conference,he said that he wanted the player to be fit and has dismissed away the possibilities of having a fallout. He added that he wanted every player to stay fit and the same goes with Ibrahimovic. Even though they have won the match for five goals Ibrahimovic was unable to score a goal but he has able to assist one of the goals. He has only scored five goals for the team in Serie A by appearing in 14 matches in the current season.

Gianluca di Marzio claims AC Milan midfielder won’t leave club this summer

 

Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio has revealed that midfielder Ismael Bennacer is expected to stay put with AC Milan next season despite the high-profile interest in his services. The Algeria international joined the Rossoneri from Empoli last summer and he has since impressed for the club in the holding midfield role where he has made 20 Serie A appearances.


Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are some of the high-profile sides, who have been credited with an interest and it has been claimed that the French champions have already failed with an opening bid worth £26m for the midfielder. There have been reports suggesting that there is a £45m release clause in the player’s contract but Di Marzio has clarified that the condition does not become active until the end of next season.

Ibrahimovic keeping his options open

 

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has a high chance of joining Swedish club Hammarby. The club’s sporting director Jesper Jansson has confirmed their interest in signing AC Milan striker to the club. When Serie A was suspended from March, he returned to Sweden by the end of March. Since then to maintain his fitness, he has been training with the club.


Ibrahimovic played for La Galaxy for 2018–2019 and was transferred to AC Milan on the summer of 2020 for a sixth-month contract.But he was unable to play for the season as all the matches were postponed due to the impact of coronavirus. His contract with Milan will come to an end in the next month which makes him free to join any club.

Marco Simone says Marco Icardi would be a great signing for AC Milan

Former AC Milan striker Marco Simone believes Mauro Icardi would be a great signing for the Rossoneri during the next transfer window. The Argentine is presently on a season-long loan at Paris Saint-Germain where he has impressed with a tally of 20 goals and four assists across all competitions.


Despite his success, Les Parisiens have no plans of signing him on a permanent deal, particularly after Icardi’s wife and agent Wanda Nara suggested that he would prefer a return to the Serie A. Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Simone said that he would prefer to keep Rafael Leao and Krzysztof Piatek at San Siro but the club may need a replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, whose contract expires during the summer.

David Amoyal fancies Donnarumma to head to the Premier League

Italian journalist David Amoyal has suggested that AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma would be open to the prospect of moving to the Premier League this summer. The 21-year-old has been a superb servant for the Rossoneri since his debut at the tender age of 16 and he has made nearly 200 appearances for the club in all competitions.


During this period, the Rossoneri have been far off from competing for silverware and Amoyal believes the shot-stopper could head through the exit door as he approaches the final year of his contract. He added that Paris Saint-Germain could be a possible destination due to the presence of ex-Milan chief Leonardo but a move to the Premier League cannot be ruled out.
